The Matrix Lights (Small)

The Matrix Lights is a desktop water pipe built for performance, convenience and aesthetics. Its matrix percolator really smooths things out while the many various different light settings help you set the mood.

The Small version of The Matrix Lights has a smaller width compared to the large. But is the exact same height. It also uses a scaled down matrix percolator compared to the large size. This may be a better option if you are more comfortable using smaller chamber sizes.

Features

  • Sturdy Metal Protective Cage: All uprights and top plate are constructed from metal. This cage adds some protection to the glass water pipe making it far less likely you will break the glass.
  • Thick Chunky Glass: The glass water pipe itself is made a very thick glass. This included the 14mm glass joints. You would have to have quite the accident to break this glass.
  • Accessory Rack: The included accessory rack adds convenience to The Matrix Lights. You can have it pushed up against the top joint completely out of the way when not in use or simply twist it outwards when needed. it is ideal for storing 14mm male jointed accessories like bowls, injector chambers and diffusers. And can also hold items like stir tools in one of the various different sized holes.
  • RGB LED Mood Lighting: Set the mood with an array of different colours which flood through the glass and water and even up through the whip. You can choose one colour or one of the colour changing functions if you want to get real funky. All light functions are selected through the included remote control. The light module is completely water proof so if the unthinkable happened and you did break the glass then just the glass could be replaced.
  • Whip Mouthpiece: The Matrix Lights comes with a whip style mouthpiece which is the most convenient way to use desktop style water pipes.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Flip the plastic base upside down and unscrew the battery lid to install 3 x AAA batteries (AAA batteries are NOT included). So you don't have batteries slipping to the side during install the two edge batteries should be installed first then the centre battery.
  2. Slide the large white silicone o-ring sleeve over the top joint of the water pipe. This protects the joint from being hit with the metal accessory rack when you are twisting it into the joint.
  3. Place the water pipe onto the stand in any orientation you would like. When you first put the water pipe onto the stand it seems that it is too small to fit on the stand as only the edge reaches the silicone pad and can easily tip as it wants to full into the recess where the LED light is. However, once the top plate and uprights are installed it sits perfectly in the centre and is very solidly in place.
  4. Place the top plate down onto the top of the water pipe making sure you have the silicone side of the plate down against the glass.
  5. You don't need to put the accessory rack on with the first upright but you should  decide which upright you wish to put it on at the beginning. On the upright with accessory rack you will need to first slide 1 white plastic washer onto the upright, then the accessory rack then another white washer. And remember to put the rack on so the little curve that matches the joint will be on the side the joint is on.
  6. Slide all uprights through the top plate then into the holes in the base. Don't screw any of the uprights completely in until you have all uprights in place. Then you can screw them down finger tight keeping an eye on the top plate to ensure it comes down evenly onto the top of the glass. It is important that you don't over tighten the uprights. You are screwing into a stainless nut which is held in place via the plastic base. We have intentionally put a lot of pressure on during assembly just to test the strength and we didn't actually see any deformation of the plastic where the nut is held but it should be avoided and there isn't any real need to put a lot of pressure into the uprights.
  7. Add water. Water lever should be above the matrix percolator at a minimum. The maximum amount is at the bottom of the frosted (ground) 14mm female joint on the side. Generally around 2-3cm above the percolator is a good place to start. There is no hard set rules as to what is best as long as you don't go above the maximum amount. Some people don't put any water at all in them.
  8. Install the glass mouthpiece tube and 14mm whip adapter onto the silicone whip.
  9. Pull the battery protector out of the remote control and you are good to go. The remote uses an IR sender so you do need to point the remote at base to change function (2032 battery is included in the remote)

Please note. 14mm injector chamber and poker tool shown in one of the photos in the accessory rack are NOT included.
