DV02 Quartz Convection Cap by Rogue Wax Works

You just can't beat the performance of hot Quartz as your heater. It may not be as efficient when heating it up (although I could be wrong) it certainly is efficient at transferring heat into passing air for the purpose of extracting that goodness from your plant material. In this little kit you get two different versions. One being the 2mm thick Ripper and the other a 1.25mm thick Sipper. And both are glorious.

The Rogue Wax Works quartz convection caps can be used in to general ways. One is in conjunction with dynavaps standard cap which will allow you to still use the sound of that click to guide you to a consistent temperature. And that is a viable option as the glass does give you that extra storage of heat meaning you will stay in the sweet spot longer before needing to reheat. But I will say using the DV02 Quartz caps without dynavaps standard cap is what give the most rewarding experience. It truely give dynavap another gear in both outright performance and flavour. 

Caution. Extra care is needed

One thing you should be well aware of with TRWW Quartz Convection Caps is that they sit loose on the dynavap tip or cap. So you always need to use it tilted upwards or completely upright in a water pipe. The quartz gets extremely hot and it will burn you if torched after heating. Be absolutely sure it isn't still hot before handling. 

When using these Quartz Convection Caps be sure to have a safe place to sit hot caps down where they will not roll off a table. When hot you can simply tip the device holding the cap over so it falls into a safe location. A bowl is ideal for this.

The Sipper

The sipper is made of 1.25mm Quartz glass and is best suited to chasing flavour and temp stepping your way up through a single bowl. This provides a nice all round experience. But at the same time this little sipper does also rip.

The Ripper

The rippers is made of chunky 2mm thick quartz glass. As Rogue Wax Works puts it. This one is "one and done". Feed it some heat once and rip completely through a bowl. The ripper is ideal for water pipe use.
